Duck Stamp

Generated image from gifs generated with the Imgflip Animated GIF GeneratorCreated in 1934, by an artist named Jay Ding Darling, the duck stamps purpose was to be a license to hunt migratory waterfowl. From the duck stamps, 98% of it goes directly to wetlands through the National Wildlife Refuge System.

Since 1934, the total revenue is over $750,000,000 and has helped create approximately 6 million acres of wetland habitats in the United States of America.
Unfortunately, hunters are dying out and the total sales of duck stamps is declining. Even if not hunting the waterfowl, birders and other conservationist are encoruaged to purchase duck stamps in order to keep funding the National Wildlife Refuge Systems.

Reasons why we should buy duck stamps:
  1. Conservation! Creation and protection of our wetland habitats
  2. Hunting license
  3. Collectibles
  4. Entrance fee into wildlife refuges
This website hosts what measures have been done using the duck stamp in each state.
